Goodbye.

My Grandma passed away today. IMG 2212
She was once a spunky, funny old lady who in her final months had a long, unfair, struggle with pancreatic cancer. Spending the last few months with her were certainly bittersweet. IMG 1337 IMG 1338 IMG 1469 IMG 1815 IMG 1830 IMG 1831 IMG 1982 IMG 1987 IMG 2192 IMG 2193 IMG 2207 IMG 2209 IMG 2210 IMG 2211
We loved her, IMG 2213
and she will be so missed.
I am grateful that she is pain free, and no longer bound to an existence which was so unsuitable for her. Her energy will be recognized with every cardinal, pink rose, and Banana split I see.
And those of you who knew her will know why. IMG 1814
Good Bye, Grandma.

Thank you so much for posting this, Kim—this is beautiful and so moving. Your love just pours out; your family's love shines. Your grandma sounds so wonderful, and your photos are just lovely. I had an incredibly close relationship with my grandma too—the photo of two hands holding made me cry. I remember my grandmother's hands so clearly! Thank you for sharing something so close to you here—I hope this new journey without your grandma is filled with laughter and beautiful memories shared, and even more love, love, love! Thinking of you and sending teary smiles across the sea. :)

Lots of love coming your way, my friend. Please let me know if you need anything (and if you need something sooner than I could get it to you please know that my parents are happy to help too). (((hugs)))

So sorry for your loss. It is so hard for us to let go. My grandma died of ovarian cancer long before my boys were born. I always wish they could have met her. She sounds alot like your grandma. It's wonderful you all got to be with her and I'm sure it helped her passing be more peaceful. May you and your family have peace from suffering knowing she no longer suffers. Sending love and light.

Thank you everybody for your kind, heartfelt words. Grandmas are so special. I will miss mine forever. These pictures and last memories shared with her are so very dear to me, and I have looked at them countless times over the last week. I am glad they filled your hearts as well. She would have loved that. Love was the most important thing in the world to her, and I am glad you all felt love, and the memory of your own Grandmothers when you looked at her. Thank you!
