Not a fourth of July post!

So we have been in summer mode and I just love it. Nothing to do, no where to go, choose your own adventure times. I wish we lived in a place that had warm weather all year. I dunno, maybe like Hawaii?
Yeah, that would do..
Maybe one day..
Anyway, Marlin and Kaya have mastered the tractor. Poor Ev can't reach the pedals, and it bothers the heck out of him, maybe next year..
Marlin can mow the lawn now,

and she is pretty happy about that!

Kaya thought of a cool way to motor around the yard! He tethered his ride on, to the back of Dad's ride on..

Here he is showing off..

Here he is wiping out...

We had a huge rain that caused some flash flooding and we had a little river coming down the drive way.

So what do you do?
Grab your board and have at it!

They have been loving jumping in and out of the pool all day.

and having sleep overs.

We found our horse, Carly, a great new home, and went up to say good bye!

We'll be able to keep in touch and visit her once a year.

I am really very happy about who she is with, and what she is doing with her.

This made saying farewell, so much easier.
Hmm.. We saw these

at the store and had to try them.
The one with spike like hairs are call rambutans, and the big one is a cactus pear.
We loved the rambutans!

They tasted like Lychee.
The cactus pear...

not so much.
Weird texture lots of seeds, not sweet. No one thought it was that good to ever get again.
Fun to try though, and very pretty!
Today we are getting all packed up and ready to rock the camp ground with many other like minded families.
We love this camping trip so much.
Stay tuned!

That camping trip looks great too!
We are not unschoolers, per se, but I would love to try that trip sometime.

cactus pearl is one of my favorite fruits!! I'm not sure about the picture, did you removed the skin?

I just cut it in half. There was a lot of seeds and not much taste. Maybe it is better fresh or we got a bad one? Or perhaps an acquired taste?
