Another BIG snow day

In pictures!

 and a few words...
Another 18 inches. This was a 4 foot fence once.

Kaya is not such a fan.

It takes him a while to deal with the feel of snow clothes.
But he catches his mojo eventually!

Marlin is ok with the snow,

she likes it the most out of the three.
 Ev needs some convincing,

But he is predictable.

He has a great time, until he tires. Then he is bear, and usually needs to be carried in.
 The dogs LOVE the snow!
They are so funny.

Mostly though, they love to be with the kids out there.
So it was feeding time and we had to trek up to the barn.

When you have to trek through two feet of snow in some areas, sometimes carrying water. It's invigorating to put it kindly.
Couldn't get the barn door open. Again.

So we had to climb the fence.
Good plan, and the kids are able to stay on the new snow. But I sink mid thigh.

There may have been explicatives uttered loudly.
I made it over and had to crawl a bit. But it worked. I made it in through Carly's stall to open the usual door.
You can see why it did not open,

Crazy!

 and with out dog:

A view of the horse stalls.

That is so much snow!
We made it back down.

Some of us.

Eventually, we did.
 Tunneled a little,

 And called it a night.
Hot damn.

Wow, that barn trek is daunting. I have been known to say a few choice words on the way to the coop, and my path isn't NEARLY as long as yours, and I don't have as much snow either. Only difference? I would sort of like that snow here:) I hope you have a much better day today. Sending healing thoughts to the chickens.

WOW. That snow is amazing. I can't believe that's your life, like right now, you're living it. Wild! And here I am in Oz with no snow. Like, none. So disappointing! :)

Love. It.

That is an amazing amount of snow. Think of the fabulous stories the kids will be able to tell! Great pictures, too!
