Cookie Cutter Candles

This craft project was fun, but only K got really into it which was surprising as he isn't as crafty as M.
It was more difficult than I though it would be. The cookie cutters didn't cut through the beeswax as effortlessly as anticipated. We had to keep them in a hot water bath to help them cut through better.
They turned out way too cute though!
You can find the directions here.
AND we ordered the beeswax sheets and wicks from here, it was the cheapest source we could find.
Oh, and like all things, it's way more fun to do with friends...

E was obsessed with burning them down, so we gave one up for a sacrifice of sorts,

And then well all the candles were suddenly way to enticing,

Burn baby burn!
It was a fun but longish process, you really need to cut 10 layers to make a candle.
And we liked all our layers in some sort of color sequence.

Because we are special like that.
It was a fabulous way to spend a few hours creating wonderful things for our friends during this time of giving.

I love those. I had Family Fun and lost it amidst the chaos that is my house and forgot that I wanted to do that project. Thanks for reminding me and the link to the beeswax!
