Ottawa was A and my favorite city on the trip. It had such a laid back vibe, not a hustly type atmosphere. We felt right at home.
Plus, they have a pirate adventure cruise, and a really great museum, AND one of the yummiest Thai meals ever had ( by us).
Yeah, the pirate cruise is still getting talked about around here.
Basically, is was a recreated pirate ship that went on a treasure finding mission around a lake. We had to fight off Pirate Pete with water cannons. We learned to speak pirate, we had scallawag crew mates, and a no nonsense captain. It was really, well....
At the end of our journey, the crew told the kids to lay low.
They were going to trick the parents waiting for their children at the dock. The rouse was that the kids were terrible pirates, and they found no treasure so they were casted away, walked the plank or other such tragedy.
Then the kids jumped up to scare the parents with a might roar of, of course, AAARRRGGGHHH!
It was just a great day at sea, and really, I'm not sure who among our crew was more enchanted.
